Mizoram Subba Clarified his stand on bursting the firecracker in front of PMO Vijaychowk, New Delhi on 31st July 2019.
Explaining the reason behind of bursting the firecrackers, Mr. Limbu said that due to not acknowledging or listening to his required demands which he had submitted to the parliamentary four years ago, he was forced to take such step of bursting the firecrackers. He had already visited the parliament three times, to know whether the demands had been acknowledged/approved, or not. “Unfortunately, nothing positive consequences had come up so far. And this was his fourth time where he had gone to parliamentary. However, he didn’t see those demands being acknowledged”. Hence, he was forced to take such steps, he stated. He also said that whenever he visits the parliament regarding the demand they always tells him to come after 15 days. It’s simply an injustice from the parliament to our Sikkim that such required demands were failed to be acknowledged. My intention of bursting big firecrackers was to deliver those demands to the parliamentary,” he added.
Here are his some of his demands which he had submitted to the parliament like tricolour flag which must be stopped being sold everywhere because after the flag is used once, people happen to neglect and trash it in a bin. The tricolour flag should be kept in a community hall, government institutions, or in a school and if people want they can get from there. The tricolour flag should be respected. Likewise, his another demand was flag hoisting training which should be conducted, and yet another demand was a Gorkhaland where this demand should be fulfilled.
I will work as systematically and shall serve our nation till my last breath, stated a social worker, Mizoram Subba.
Subba was detained by Delhi Police on 31st July for bursting three big firecrackers containing chemicals outside PMO, Vijaychowk, New Delhi on 31st July 2019
