The Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang extends his warm greetings on the occasion of National Youth Day which is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The Chief Minister stated that Swami Vivekananda was a great Indian saint, a pious figure with “high thinking and simple living”. The ideals for which he lived and worked has been a great source of inspiration for the youth. The youth play an imperative role in this transition of a high paced dynamic society to reap organizational and community benefits. The nation requires their participation to achieve the goals and help in taking the Country towards progress to determine the future of the nation.
National Youth Day is celebrated in India with full enthusiasm on 12 January every year to motivate the youth of the nation. Observance of the day seeks to propagate the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Through his teachings, he wanted to imbibe the young minds with the power to recognize internal strengths and have an optimistic outlook on life.
On this occasion of National Youth Day, The Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang appeals the youth to implement the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and promote love, peace, and fraternity in the country.
