With a vision of skilling the youths and making them ready for employment in developed countries like Singapore, Japan. South Korea and other advanced countries the District Collectorate, West Sikkim is organizing a 6 months basic course on ‘Speaking and Learning Japanese Language’ for educated, unemployed youth of Sikkim.
The main objective of the course is to equip the candidates with basic skill of Japanese language to enable the candidates to apply for employment and study prospects in Japan in the near future.
Japan is a lucrative employment destination due to its aging population and strong demand for skilled manpower. There is a strong cultural affinity between Japan and Sikkim. The people of Sikkim are culturally hospitable and share similar features with the Japanese population.
The application forms along with complete bio-data of the candidates have to be sent to the District Collector, West Sikkim latest by 8th December 2019 and the course will start at Kyonsha, Gyalshing from 17th December onwards. The priority will be given to candidates who are graduates, nurses, ITI pass and technically qualified as the employment opportunities are brighter. The candidates from West District Sikkim will be given priority due to it being an Aspirational district.
The course is being taken by two faculty members, Mr Sonam Bhutia and Mrs. Haruko Niwa. Mrs Haruko Niwa is from Tokyo Japan and has completed her Education from Musashino Arts University, Tokyo .
