Darnal lists ‘false promises’ SKM made before election

Sikkim Democratic Front party alleged that Sikkim Krantikari Morcha government has been totally failed to implement any people-centric and people welfare programmes in the State. The party asserted that SKM has formed the government in the State by showing false dreams and promises aggressively to educated youths and people in this election.
A press release of SDF spokesperson, JB Darnal mentioned that SKM played with the feelings and sentiments of the people just by criticising SDF government before the election. It is added that SKM had criticised SDF government with false allegations of favoritism and nepotism and in other issues. SKM had promised the people that there will be no mismanagement, victimization, favoritism, nepotism and deputation in SKM government but SKM government has now institutionalized the system of reappointment, deputation and victimization in the government, the release alleged.
On the same, the release questioned SKM party on its promises in the election manifesto and made by leaders of the party. It is added that SKM government has only been successfully in announcing holidays and achievement of SKM government in 90 days was holiday on every Saturday and seat for the bus conductor in the bus.
The release mentioned that SKM election manifesto has numerous people-centric programmes and promises to be completed within 100 days of the government formation. It is added that SKM had promised to unemployment bonus, regularisation of adhoc and MR employees, regularisation of One Family One Job employees, Rs 30,000 to every youths and other announcement to complete within 100 days.
The release stated that SKM announced that it has full of intellectuals to run the State in the proper manner. It is mentioned that the Chief Minister PS Golay deputed an army of advisors in the government after facing problems to run the government and even brought Prof Mahendra P Lama from Darjeeling who has already left Sikkim after being rejected by the people of Sikkim. The release added that even the Political Advisor to the CM gave a very irresponsible statement on issues raised on the appointment of Prof Lama. The release informed that the State government appointed Prof Lama as the Chief Economical Advisor in the cabinet rank to bring out the State from the debt but Prof Lama having two lakhs crores of rupees in his home state of West Bengal.
The release mentioned that within three months of SKM government the State has witnessed issues like Sikkim-Darjeeling merger, dilution of the Article 371F, appointment of Prof Lama as the Chief Economical Advisor, permission of mountaineering on the sacred Mount Kanchenjunga and others. On the same, the release alleged that SKM has been totally failed to properly run the government due to its own character and nature. It is added that SKM has been spending its time and energy in victimisation of sincere employees, favouritism in transfer, promotion and deputation and running after the opposition party and working for exploiters and businessmen but it has been diverted from its promises made to the people.
