Sikkim Aakraman Football Club (SAFC) has registered its second consecutive victory in the ongoing Premier Division Sikkim-League 2019 here at Paljor Stadium on Tuesday. In its second match in the league today, Sikkim Aakraman FC has outplayed Kumar Sporting Football Club 4-nil to secure three points in the league.
With the help of Dewasish George Rai’s goal in the 15th minute, Sikkim Aakraman FC ended the first half with 1-0 lead. Soon in the second half, Sonam Tshering extended the lead of Sikkim Aakraman FC to 2-0 in the 53rd minute.
While Kumar Sporting FC players were struggling to bounce back into the match, Dawa Sherpa extended the goal margin with a goal for Sikkim Aakraman FC in the 89th minute and another goal by his teammate, Lochen Basnett in the injury time sealed 4-0 victory of Sikkim Aakraman FC.
In another match, a brace by Rapgay Lepcha helped Unicorn Football Club to edge past United Sikkim Football Club 2-1. Both teams made continuous attacks from the start to take the lead in the match but missed many good opportunities to net the goal. Rapgay Lepcha scored the lead for Unicorn FC in the dying minutes of the first half.
United Sikkim FC players played their hearts out to score the equalizer from the start of the second half but Rapgay extended the lead of Unicorn FC to 2-0 with his brace in the 70th minute. However, an immediate goal by Pelsang Lama for United Sikkim FC in the 72nd minutes gave new hope to the team to come back into the match but failed to score any further goal in the match. Finally, with 2-1 victory, Unicorn FC earned the full three points in the league.
