A state level meet of members of National Integrated Forum of Artist and Activists (NIFAA) was held at Club House, Tek, Namthang, South Sikkim on January 22. Talks on different agendas regarding the development of NIFAA Sikkim State were discussed. Manita Rasaily (East), Mon Maya Pradhan (West), Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia (North) and Suyog Pradhan (South) was nominated as the NIFAA Sikkim State District President.
The meeting also prepared an action plan for the coming days. It was also decided at the meeting that NIFAA Sikkim State District Branch shall be officially launched within the month of February. NIFAA is the Nationwide Non Governmental Organization and it had received six Guinness Book of the World Record awards and the recipient of many National Awards. It aims to promote the activists, artists, culture of different communities to the national and international level. Sikkim is the 22nd Branch of NIFAA
The meeting was chaired by Stephen Subba, Panchayat Maney Dara Ward and Patron NIFAA Sikkim State. Bikash Pradhan, Chief Advisor, NIFAA Sikkim State gave a brief introduction about the works and activities of NIFAA organisation. He further spoked about the NIFFA Sikkim State being nominated the best performing state at Harmony 2018, a youth exchange
programme to promote national integration and harmony organised by NIFAA held last December at Tripura. He congratulated the team members for bringing laurel to the states.
The name of the nominated members for the post of Districts President was moved by Kishore Baniya, Youth Coordinator, NIFAA Sikkim State that was agreed and clapped by rest of the members. Praveen Pradhan, President NIFAA Sikkim State in his speech added it is just the initial days and there are lots of social activities to be preformed. He said with the formation of
the District Presidents, the activity of NIFAA will be followed at each four district of Sikkim. He too congratulated NIFAA Sikkim’s cultural team for their wonderful presentation at Tripura event.
