Plantation drive was undertaken at Temi Tea Estate , sponsored by MSME Development Institute, Gangtok under Ministry of MSME , Govt of India as part of Swachta Action Plan 2019 – 20 on Monday.
A total of 750 bamboo saplings were planted during the drive. During the event the Assistant Director MSME Narayan Saw and Assistant Director Atul Mishra were present along with MD Temi Mrinalini Shrivastava IPS, Bamboo expert Shri Ghani Zaman and Dr Rahul Banerjee head of Corporate Governance for Temi.
Temi has planted 7 different types of bamboo as part of backward raw material collection . The bamboo products factory has been established at Temi which is under trial run and will be inaugurated on 18 September on occasion of World Bamboo Day.
The MSME and Temi would host workshop on Zero defect and cluster development drive in future.
