To boost a new “Made In Sikkim” start up, Temi Tea Estate under Department of Commerce and Industries agreed in-principle to support Zimba Enterprise of East Sikkim, owned by Anup Zimba in creating Herbal Floral and Fruit blends with Temi Tea as base ingredient.
It was informed that the product will be launched by 1st week of October 2019. The experimental blending and tasting is now underway for the next two months where international fashion and retail expert Pranay Baidya will also be suggesting the scales to suit the audience.
Joining hands would be Sikkim’s own branding agency Owls, the copy writer Roshni, the blending expert and master taster Nalin Modha from the Darjeeling hills. Sharmila Gurung, a trained packeter with diploma from the Indian Institute of Packaging are in support.
Jaswant N, Joint Secretary, Commerce and Industries will be the lead guide under start up scheme and MSME.
Temi Tea has thanked BS Pant, Minister for Commerce & Industry department and Government of Sikkim for encouraging such novel Sikkimese start-ups.
