The three days Organic Growers (farmers) training with Horticulture department under NSQF level Sikkim Organic Mission(SOM), which started on July 10 concluded today.
The Training was organized up by Spices Board Department, Mangan North Sikkim at Singhik Gram Prashasan Kedra, Lachen Mangan constituency.
The training main agendas was to Promote the development of country then mission Organic and Skill development India.
The 3 days training had practical session on organic farming, test for 40 organic farmers in SOM. Discussion on Soul health card, organic smart production & marketing. It was also informed that trace ID holders are the registered & certified organic growers/farmers.
They also informed about PMKVY- Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, ASCI- Agriculture Skill Council of India and SDM- Skill Development Management system.
The Spices Board Department also organized practical sessions for Organic growers. The programme was attended by SDM Dzongu, N. T. Bhutia as chief guest, Dy Director, Spices Board, GTK, C. S. Ghatani, AD(Mangan incharge), P. T. Lepcha, HDO Horticulture department, Mikmar Lepcha, Field offices, Dr. Kuldip Rai & Nima Tsh Bhutia and field coordinator (SOM), Meena Sharma.
