With an aim was to spread awareness around climate change so that people start talking about it with a little more concern and people start understanding the threat it poses a group of concerned citizen of Sikkim called Sustainable Sikkim organised an awareness drive in Gangtok today.
One of the chief motive is to encourage people to start looking for ways to act on it before it’s too late, stated one of the volunteers.
This group believes that climate change is the biggest threat for the humanity and hence, we need to act now.
“To make people aware and responsible for their actions. Tell them about the climate change, it’s implications and solutions/ways to somewhat reduce the disastrous effects of climate change,” stated one of the volunteers, Avinow Ankit.
They also raised concern on rising pollution which has ravaged planet earth for a long time and looks to wind it altogether through sustainable means.
