Speaking to media persons here at his official residence, Mintokgang on Tuesday, the CM readout the official letter of Italy Government. It has to be mentioned here that the CM Pawan Chamling received the prestigious Future Policy Gold Award at the United Nations FAO Headquarter in Rome, Italy on 15 October last year. While addressing the Parliament of Italy, he appealed the world to adopt the organic farming and it seems that Italy government has decided to work on the appeal of the CM.

CM expressed his happiness and satisfaction on his works in organic farming. He added that all produces of Sikkim have become organic now and the State government has been working seriously on the organic farming as a mission. He expressed that Sikkim would become self-reliant on its organic produce in next five years except for rice. He informed that Sikkim has been sending its ten items of organic produces outside the State.

Speaking on other issues, the CM stated that there was no need of any alliance for SDF party so far to contest the election as the party has been contesting and winning every election on its own. He added that SDF party does not need any alliance even for upcoming election. He mentioned that the alliance with the Centre of the party was the post-poll and SDF party has always delivered the Dharma of the alliance. On the same, he added that for the Centre not to deliver their Dharma of the alliance was their issue. He added that two MPs of Sikkim have been working as members of NDA.

While enquiring on the Committee Constituted by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, which is presently in Sikkim to study to problem tribal status to eleven left out communities of Sikkim, the CM mentioned not to meet the committee and added that it was just a drama near the election and these officials of the committee were on Sikkim tour just to complete their routine work.

He added that the report of the earlier committee has not been made public yet so the tour of the new committee was just the election stunt.

On the allegation of Hamro Sikkim Party vice-president Bhaichung Bhutia on scam of Rs 50,000 crore in hydel projects in Sikkim during a dharna at Delhi on Monday, the CM asserted that all allegations of Bhaichung Bhutia were baseless. He added that works of all hydel projects in Sikkim have been carried out on the PPP mode so it was not suitable to involve the State government in everything.

He mentioned that development in the hydel projects in Sikkim was under the Power Development Policy 2003 of the Central government. He stated that Bhaichung Bhutia has been speaking baseless on the direction of some others.

On SKM party president PS Golay allegations, he stated that if there was any Goonda in SDF party then that person has now become the president of Goonda Party. He added that SDF party was now clean and the leader of Goonda Party has opened a party by taking all Goondas
