The Alternate Learning Systems-IAS (India’s Largest IAS Coaching Network), in association with the Education Department, Govt of Sikkim launched its 86th Centre in Gangtok today.
The training centre was inaugurated at Nar Bahadur Bhandari College by the Chief Guest, Kunga Nima Lepcha, Education Minister in the presence of other dignitaries GP Upadhyaya, (Additional Chief Secretary), Suchitra Rasaily, (Director, Higher Education), Hondala Gyaltsen (Director, School Education), Dr Rabin Chhetri (Director, SCERT), Bhim Thatal (State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha & Director, Primary Education), Sri Raj Yadav (District Magistrate, East), Dr GK Niraula (Vice Chancellor, Sikkim State University, Dr Bina Pradhan (Principal, Nar Bahadur Bhandari College) Shubha Mukhia (Joint Secretary, Higher Education), Prateek Bhattacharya (National Sales Head) and the officials from the ASL-IAS.
Education Minister, Additional Chief Secretary, and DM, East shared their valuable words of advice with the 75 IAS aspirants present who were selected under Chief Minister’s Civil Services Coaching Scheme.
The ALS have thanked the Govt of Sikkim and Chief Minister for this path-breaking initiative and hopes to produce results in UPSC in the coming years for the State of Sikkim.
It is further mentioned that although there are 75b seats at present, those who could not get admission in the 75 ranks, the next 50 in line may also apply on payment of ₹ 70800/- as 75% of the entire fee as all together 150 candidates could be accommodated for the entire course of 18 months.
National Sales Head Prateek Bhattacharya on behalf of ALS Satellite Education Pvt Ltd and Additional Chief Secretary GP Upadhyaya, IAS on behalf of Govt of Sikkim further signed a 2-year MoU for Sponsorship of IAS Aspirants under Chief Minister’s Civil Services Coaching Scheme in Gangtok on 10th December 2019.
