Minister for Health Care Human Services and Family Welfare, Information and Public Relations Deptt Arjun Kumar Ghatani chaired a plenary and valedictory session of two days International Ambedkar Conclave at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, today.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the forum and delegates for their invaluable deliberations and inputs.
Minister, in his address, highlighted recently initiated monthly pension scheme to the farmers above 50 years of age envisioned by the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and urged forum to put proposal for similar pension scheme before the union Govt in favour of SC/ST farmers all over the country.
He also urged the August house to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti in the national capital with the presentation of culture and tradition of different states.
He suggested Forum to publish an annual book incorporating contents and inputs given by eminent speakers during the technical sessions.
Minister also touched upon topics such as organic potential, Cleanliness, Education and good governance in the state of Sikkim.
The panel was also joined by the President of Forum of SC/ST Legislators and Parliamentarians Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal, JayeshKhade Advocate World Trade Centre (NM), Mohinder Kumar IAS (Retd) Former Vice Chancellor, Professor SM Sungoh Dean NEHU Shillong, RP Singh Former Indian Ambassador, Ex. Minister TelenganaPushpaleela.Earlier two technical session was held on Education and Skill Development, Economy and Entrepreneurship on the 2nd Day of the conclave.
