Two teams from PNGSSS, have made it to the National Grand Finale of Robotex India, to be held on 27th and 28th July 2019 at Shanti Business School, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Under the mentorship of PGT Physics and ATL in charge, Mr. Ivan Dorjee Lepcha, the ATL_PNG Robotics teams for Lego Line Follower and Open Line Follower categories, both teams bagged 3rd positions at recently held Regional Rounds of Robotex India in Delhi on 13th July 2019, thereby qualifying for the Nationals.
Lego Line Follower Team : Miss Bath Sheba Lepcha, Miss Prerna Pradhan and Miss Sristika Sharma
Open Line Follower Team: Miss Anisha Adhikari, Miss Nikky Kumari and Miss Nivedita Tamang, are all presently studying in class XII Science, and are highly excited to give their best in the up coming competition and hoping to qualify for Robotex Asia, in China.
Robotex International is an annual event and the biggest robotics festival on the planet. Thousands of engineers, executives, students and families come together to be inspired by industry leaders, examine new startups, build robots for various challenges and learn about the latest technology innovations.Robotex International will be hosted in Tallinn, Estonia, and Robotex Asia will take place in China on August 16-18, 2019.
For general information, Robotex India started in the year 2018 in which students are selected from regional rounds for the Nationals. The winners of Robotex India will represent the country at Robotex Asia and later in Robotex International. PNGSSS had participated in Robotex Nationals in 2018 too but the teams are better prepared, after working upon last year’s experience.
