Sikkim Mahila Patrakar Sangh has convened a meeting here on Wednesday, which was chaired by a senior journalist, Radha Pradhan. The meeting has dissolved its old committee and constituted the new committee, informs a press release.
Radha Pradhan has been elected as the president of new committee of SMPS. The new committee also has Naina Kala Pandey as working president, HK Khawas and Indira Chettri as vice-presidents, Sushma Chettri as general secretary, Sushma Mangar and Ruth Bardewa as treasurers and Sanju Chettri and Bhawna Pradhan as publicity secretaries. Likewise, Hema Sharma and Meena Chettri appointed as advisors.
The release informed that the meeting has decided to work actively for the welfare of women journalists of the State and further decided to continue with its efforts to contribute in the social sector. The sangh has also decided to carry out a plantation drive at Deorali Chorten premises on 07 July.
