A meeting of Sikkim Democratic Front constituency-level monitoring and campaign committee for Upper Tadong constituency was held under its chairman, Menlon Lepcha at College Valley, Tadong on Monday. The meeting was attended by ward councillor Geeta Tewari, general secretary, Kiran Chettri, Lakit Gurung, secretary, AnandGazmer, district committee general secretary, Prabhat Gurung former panchayat president Mohan Gurung, panchayat secretary Tashi Bhutia along with youths and cheli of the party.
A press release of the committee stated that the committee president, Mr Lepcha mentioned that SDF government has provided all development and benefits to the people. He added that every constituency of the State has witnessed the overall development in the SDF government in Sikkim. He stated that the state revenue has increased to manifolds due to industrial policies and programmes of SDF government. He added that the literacy level of Sikkim has increased from 56% to 96.72% in SDF government.
Mr Lepcha mentioned that the overall development, peace, security and restoration of complete democracy in Sikkim were the biggest achievements of SDF party. He added that the people of Sikkim have already decided to again bring SDF party in the power to maintain and continue the peace and harmony in the State.
