Nandok Block Administrative Centre today organized a quiz competition in order to aware the people on Swacha Bharat Abhiyan. The programme chaired by the Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor, KT Gylaltsen as the chief guest was attended by Rural Management & Development Department Secretary, CS Rao as the guest of honour.
In his address Mr. Gyaltsen appreciated the efforts put up by the Nandok BAC by organizing such programme and also expressed happiness towards the talents shown by the participating students.
He said that attending the school and getting formal education will not benefits the students in long run but having extra-curricular knowledge will help them to achieve desired goal in the future.
Mr. Gyaltsen informed that Sikkim has already received Nirmal Rajya Puraskar in the year 2008 because of the fact that Sikkim is governed by the pro-people leadership.
Highlighting on various achievements incurred by the ruling SDF government, Mr. Gyaltsen said that recently launched One Family One Job and similar other schemes has benefited the Sikkimese people and assured that such schemes will be continued as long as SDF Government remains in power.
The RMDD secretary in his address informed that the students should be well aware about Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan as maximum numbers of the questions relating to the topic are now included in the UPSC and such other allied examinations.
Mr. Rao said that students should not give up if they failed once but should fight repeatedly unless they touch the milestones
The secretary has urged the officials of the BAC to take the participants of the quiz competition to an excursion tour of nearby Pharmaceutical industry to make them know how about the functioning of the big industries.
The competition witnessed Lower Nandok Jr. High School bagging first position in primary level competition. In the Secondary level category again Nandok High Secondary school bagged the first position.
During the programme, social activist, Chung Chung Cehttri was felicitated by the chief guest whereas, Sun Women Self Help Group was presented with the letter of appreciation.
