Red Panda Riders Meet 2019 from Jan 18

Open Road Wanderers Motorcycle Club, Sikkim [ORWMCS] is organising the second edition of Red Panda Riders Meet 2019 from 18 to 19 January at River View Resort in Ranipool, East Sikkim.

Open Road Wanderers Motorcycle Club, Sikkim [ORWMCS] is organising the second edition of Red Panda Riders Meet 2019 from 18 to 19 January at River View Resort in Ranipool, East Sikkim. The event is a part of upcoming annual mega extravaganza Sikkim Red Panda Winter Carnival 2019 to be held from 17 to 19 January in the State.  

Addressing a press conference here today, Roshan Nepal of ORWMCS informed that the last edition of the meet held during Sikkim Red Panda Winter Carnival 2018 and following encouraging response the club has come forward with the second edition. He mentioned that due to time constraints ORWMCS could not able to arrange ongoing registration time and the club has been doing offline registration and interested riders can also register directly on the spot on 18 January.  

Mr Nepal informed that the event has already registered around 100 riders from Nepal, Bhutan, North Eastern States, North Bengal and different parts of Sikkim. He urged local riders to immediately register themselves as the event has the capacity for just 200 riders this time due to small venue. The organisers are charging Rs 2200 per head as registration fee.

The first day of the event will be having the registration of the participants which will be followed by setting of tents by riders at the venue and then there will be Riders Interaction, jamming session and live music on 18 January. The second day of the event will the bikers ride towards Ray and Ranka area in East Sikkim and ride back to the venue and will be followed by live music and performances by renowned bands of Sikkim.

ORWMCS president Naresh Chettri mentioned that Enfield riders have a big community in the country and it was new to Sikkim but we have been working to make a big community of riders in the State to contribute to the society. He added that the club has been brining in lots of riders from outside the State which will further help to promote Sikkim tourism and riders will also get the chance to explore the State through riding.
