Lately, Sikkim has seen a flurry of artists from Nepali music industry visiting Sikkim for shows and concerts. Pop music in Nepali has become huge with many Nepali language speakers from across the world having breakthrough singles, creating a niche for themselves across the Nepali speaking world.
Renowned Nepali Pop Artists Jack Rai , Aizen , J Arthur and KoKo Myan on Sikkim Tour for the first time. They are slated to perform tomorrow at K2 Club, Namnang at night. Some of the popular songs of these artists include “Time Chaina” and “Bindass” which has firmly cemented their place as emerging artists of Nepali music industry.
While speaking to media in Gangtok they have expressed happiness to be in Sikkim for the first time. They also appreciated the beauty of Sikkim and its people thanking fans and admirers for bringing them on their first-ever tour of India. They are based in the UK and have been producing music for past many years having rose to fame recently.
“We didn’t expect which song would work. Ultimately you have to be true to yourself as an artists and the rest will follow,” says J Arthur. They have also appreciated the artists here for having “a sound of their own” and have asked artists here to keep on making music which is original.
Mantra, Nomads and Bipul Chettri are some of the artists from India whom they have showered rich appreciation. After Gangtok they will be touring other cities of India including Hyderabad, Pune and Guwahati.
They have been brought to Sikkim by K Stars event management.
