Chief Minister Pawan Chamling strongly condemned the dastardly attack on the CRPF personnel at Pulwama, J&K yesterday, in which many of them were martyred and some critically injured. CM Took to his official Facebook page to express his anguish CM said May the brave souls rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.
Similarly, Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad has condemned and expressed deep anguish on the gruesome terrorist attack on CRPF convoy at Avantipora in Pulwama District of Jammu yesterday afternoon, claiming the lives of the 42 valiant CRPF Jawans.
In his message Governor has said “I am deeply appalled by the irreparable loss of lives of our CRPF Jawans following a ghastly fidayeen terrorist attack on the CRPF convoy yesterday afternoon. The nation is shocked by this act of cowardice by the evil force of terrorism which has given a deep wound to the national psyche and I term it as a national loss. The nation stands in solidarity with the armed forces and the families who have lost their worthy son. The supreme sacrifice made by the jawans in their quest of safety and security of motherland will act as a cruel reminder for the countrymen to unite and defeat these evil forces once and for all.
At this time of national mourning, I join the people of Sikkim and my fellow countrymen to offer my deepest condolences and condemn the act in strongest terms. I pray to the almighty for bestowing strength to the family members to cope with this great loss. I also pray for the health and speedy recovery of all jawans who have been injured in this national tragedy.”
