A formal inauguration of the Voters Awareness Forum (VAF) was commenced in presence of Tushar G. Nikhare, SDM, West here at the conference hall of District Administration Centre,Rabdentse,West Sikkim today.
The inaugural activity was marked by briefing session to all the employees present, where they are informed about the concept of VAF along with the basics of the electoral process .
Nikhare briefed the gathering about the Inauguration of VAF, Registration & Name-Check, Pledge taking on National voters Day, Build the Ballot, Quiz, Rajbhasha Diwas and Floor games which are the calender of activities in VAF. He also informed about the ‘Electoral Literacy Club’ (ELC) for mainstreaming of electoral literacy in Schools, Colleges and Communities to promote electoral literacy in all age groups.
