Opposition parties forming political alliances in fear of being totally out-washed by the SDF party in 2019 election: KT Gyaltsen
Gangtok, Jan 16
The ruling SDF Party has slammed the One Family One Job critics of Opposition parties in Sikkim.
In a press release SDF Spokesperson KT Gyaltsen said it is unfortunate that several opposition parties are raising issues out of context and out of proportion rather than appreciating the fact that the people especially the needy and the youth are directly benefiting from such unique program of the SDF government. Mr Gyalsten further said that the One Family One Job scheme is unprecedented in the world which ensures every family to have one member employed in the government which is truly a humanitarian policy. As declared by Shri Pawan Chamling, the Chief Minister the appointment orders provided to the beneficiaries under this scheme is on temporary basis but will be regularised after completion of five years of service subject to the fulfilment of the terms and conditions laid down in the Office Order. As far as the payment of salaries of the newly appointed employees are concerned we are fully confident that with the vast experience and knowledge of Shri Pawan Chamling as a statesman the SDF government is fully equipped to manage the affairs.
It appears that the opposition parties are rather perplexed with the implementation of such welfare schemes by the government. Their perception about the people centric policies of the government are negative and simply reflects their lack of leadership, vision and political ideology. This is further evident from the fact that few of the opposition parties are already moving towards forming political alliances amongst themselves in apprehension of being totally out-washed and defeated in the coming election 2019 by the SDF party Mr. Gyalsten Added.
The press release by SDF Spokesperson further added, In the last twenty four years of the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) government Sikkim has transformed immensely and rapidly developed in every sector under the visionary leadership of Shri Pawan Chamling and the SDF government. The environment of peace and security which the people have witnessed and experienced for the last two decades and more stands as the living example and the hallmark of the achievements of the SDF government. As citizens of the state one must not forget that such positive results have happened on its own but it is because of the experienced leadership of Shri Pawan Chamling and the principles, programs and policies of the SDF party.
The SDF party is committed to preserve the identity of Sikkim and to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the Sikkimese people. The party bears true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India. It is committed to uphold and promote the principles of democracy, socialism, secularism and the rule of law. Based on such political philosophy and ideologies Shri Pawan Chamling has been relentlessly serving the people as the longest serving Chief Minister in India. As a result of the overall development which is evident in every sector namely, health, education, agriculture, tourism, industry, etc. the people of the state are today enjoying the result of good governance and vibrant leadership. Every citizen of the state irrespective of their caste, creed, class, community, religion or gender are enjoying the fruit of democracy in letter and sprite under the SDF government.
The recent announcement and implementation of pro-people and youth centric programs such as; inauguration of the New STNM Multi Speciality Hospital, One Family One Job Scheme and distribution of benefits to the genuine and needy public such as allotment of One Storied RCC Building, Land to the Landless, House Up-gradation, GCI Sheets, etc. reflects the commitment of the SDF government of having fulfilled the promises made to the people.
Such policies and programs are the result of the vision of Shri Pawan Chamling and the political ideologies of the SDF party. As rightly observed by the Chief Minister during the Janta Mela, 2019 at Paljor Stadium, “I have given leadership for the last twenty-four years as per the hopes and aspirations of the people of Sikkim. I do not have any body behind me but the people of Sikkim. The people of Sikkim are my masters”.
