The valedictory function of the state-level Capacity Building of Youth on Leadership and Personality Development Through Life Skills for National Service Scheme volunteers was held here at Paljor Stadium complex on Saturday. A total of 150 NSS from 75 educational institutions from different parts of the State have successfully completed this capacity building programme.
The five-day-long programme was organized by Sikkim State National Service Scheme Cell in collaboration with the NSS Cell under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Guwahati. The programme was inaugurated by the Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Kunga Nima Lepcha on 17 December.
The five-day-long programme has witnessed motivational talks and activities, life skill and personality development trainings, group discussions, debates, yoga, zumba, cultural and other activities by experts and resource persons at badminton hall, table tennis hall and conference hall of Paljor Stadium complex.
The valedictory function has the Secretary to Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Kuber Bhandari as the chief guest. The chief guest mainly highlighted on responsibilities of NSS volunteers in serving the society and the people. He handed over certificates and sweets to all participating NSS volunteers in the programme.
