20 families from Gor ward and 10 families from Tareng ward of Lum/Gor/Sangtok gram panchayat unit of Dzongu have joined Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party on 26 December. The joining programme was held in presence of Deputy Speaker SLA cum area MLA Dzongu, Sonam Gyatso Lepcha along with the panchayats and Zilla Panchayat.
The area MLA welcomed them and handed over greeting card and party’s flag. Out of 20 families from Gor ward 7 families were from Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party while 13 families were from independent party.
The deputy speaker highlighted about the party’s policies and programmes and also informed about chief minister’s pro poor vision for the development.
He also urged everyone to be united for the development and expressed his happiness for merging people in SDF party. He also informed that if we are united we can always bring peace and the development.
The people also shared their grievances and joy having joined in SDF party’.
