EPCS members celebrate Christmas with CM

The newly elected office bearer of Council of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Sikkim called on Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at his official  resident, Mintokgang.

The newly elected office bearer of Council of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Sikkim called on Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at his official  resident, Mintokgang.

The members elected for the term of three years were Moderator, Rev. T. Targain         EPCS Vok, South Sikkim, Deputy Moderator: Rev. Yozan Sherpa, EPCS Dentam, West Sikkim, General Secretary  Pemba Lepcha   EPCS Gangtok, East Sikkim and Treasurer: Lawrence Lepcha              EPCS Gangtok, East Sikkim.

On the occasion the General Secretary readout a letter of gratitude before the HCM for his unceasing support towards the members of EPCS and the Christian Community for the last 24 years and of his able governance. The new committee members placed various demand letters before the HCM and the HCM assured the committee to look into the matter and fulfil it accordingly at the earliest.

The  Chief Minister shared his view of being a leader, a leader has to be selfless, innovative and who needs to be a visionary. He also informed that Sikkim is now recognized internationally in  many fields. He further informed the gathering that when we compare Sikkim with the other states of India our state has progressed substantially in all horizons. He further assured the community for his continual selfless support in the days to come.

The Christmas cake was offered with prayers by senior most pastor Rev. P.S.Tingbo to CM. The meeting concluded with the final prayer for CM and benediction by Rev. Targain, Moderator CEPCS.
