Do not give donation to any political parties in the name of change: CM tells Business community

Chief Minister Pawan Chamling has appealed businessmen of Sikkim not to give donation to any political party of the State. He added that SDF government has never asked for any donation from the businessmen in these 24 years of the government in the State and has never threatened any businessman for the money.
He made this appeal during his speech on the occasion of the Bhoomi Pooja cum foundation laying of Marwari Swarajanik Sewa Bhawan at Old Children Park Complex on Thursday.
CM mentioned that oppositions have been asking money from businessmen in the name of the change and businessmen have been giving money to these opposition parties. He further mentioned to have the proof of a meeting held at Siliguri to support money to oppositions. On the same, he asserted that businessmen should not give donation in the name of the change to destroy the State.
CM stated that businessmen need to stay aware and alert otherwise days will come when businessmen have to come to Mintokgang with money if the State would get some other CM. He stated that SDF government has provided the peace, security and respect to business community in the State so now businessmen have to take the decision on the environment they wants in coming days.
While mentioning about the unprecedented developments took place in Sikkim in SDF government, the CM stated that the volume of business has been increased at present in Sikkim and Sikkim has been known in the world for its developments. He added that lots of opportunities have been created in the State. On the same, he appealed that businessmen should realize this happy transformation took place in Sikkim in SDF government. “Sikkim won’t get a better government than SDF,” Chamling added
CM stated that Sikkim is the Ram Rajya of love, peace and brotherhood while stating that “our work will speak for itself” when it comes to preserve the peace and progressive nature of the state through innovative contributions and giving the state an international destination known for its thrust on organic and sustainable development.
He also stated that the business community of the state enjoys equal rights and a peaceful environment to conduct their businesses.
Incorporating the community economically, socially and political through giving representation to the highest levels.
Adding that the business community is the direct beneficiary of Sikkim’s development the Chief Minister said that in many sectors the state has shown leading the way including the Organic mission, tourism, transportation and hospitality among others.
He said that in previous governments the Business community faced threats, the CM stressed that he has not asked any monetary benefit from anyone.
Slamming the opposition he held that a group of corrupt, goondas and depressed have gathered around to form a political party to capture power. “Just imagine what will be the situation of our citizens,” he said.
CM said that his government has ensured an absolute democratic environment he asked citizens to take equal responsibility and maintain the state growing image.
CM announced to provide loan under StartUp scheme to businessmen of Sikkim having the residential certificate from coming financial year. He also assured to fulfil other demands placed during the programme. On the occasion, Marwari Samaj has also felicitated the CM.
