SDF will build houses for 3 families if Govt fails to do so in 1 month: Chamling

Former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling has visited landslide affected areas in Tsong village under Yuksom-Tashiding constituency in West Sikkim on Friday. He also met the affected people in the area and handed over relief materials to the people on behalf of Sikkim Democratic Front party. In a small function at Yuksom-Dupdi Gram Prasashan Kendra, he handed over eatable items, blankets, warmer sets, dinner sets and other essential commodities to the affected people.
On the occasion, SDF President and the former CM, Pawan Chamling handed over the relief materials to ten affected families and rest families received relief materials from SDF party workers. A total of 76 affected families of Tsong village have attended this programme. It was also attended by former Ministers, SB Subedi, RB Subba and Thutop Bhutia, Zilla Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha, councillors, and Zilla and Gram Panchayat members and part workers from West Sikkim.
In his address, former CM asserted that three houses in the village have been totally damaged so the State government should immediately start construction of these houses. On the same, he announced that if the State government would not start construction of house for these three families within one month then SDF party would build these three houses.
