The 5th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great joy and happiness by 36th Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal at its Unit head quarter Yangtey (Geyzing) and all Out Posts of border area of West Sikkim and District Darjeeling of West Bengal. At its Headquarter, this auspicious occasion was attended by Sh. Raj Narayan Mishra, Commandant, Sh. Joy Gopal Namsudra, Second-in-Command, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Thakur, Deputy Commandant and other Officers, Sub Ordinate Officers, Family Members of Jawan and about 100 force personnel. The Yoga protocol was led by Mrs. Meena Gurung, Mrs. Rita Pradhan, Mrs. Sanjana Subba and Miss Chanda Gurung volunteers from the Art of Living, Geyzing. At the outset, Sh. Raj Narayan Mishra, Commandant welcomed all the volunteers from Art of Living and all the Officers, ladies and Jawans and apprised about the importance of the International Day of Yoga and requests all the attended personnel to implement the Yoga as their daily routine. He also urged to all the SSB jawans to impart Yoga as their daily routine who are deployed in far flung areas of Indo-Nepal border to serve the nation in various adverse situations as the Yoga will play a key role to release mental pressure of the Jawans.
Yoga protocol was smoothly followed by all the personnel in the blissful sunny day in the lap of beautiful natural place. The moment was enjoyed by all.
