Minister for Health and Family Welfare, A.K Ghatani today inspected the newly constructed 1000 Bedded Multi Specialty Hospital at Sichey and took stock of the final preparations before the inauguration scheduled on January 15.
Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling would be inaugurating the new hospital.
The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner cum Secretary, Health Department, Vishal Chauhan, Principal Directors, STNM hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. K.B. Gurung, concerned heads of various departments under health department, officials and engineers from Buildings and Housing department and other officials.
The inspection began from the trauma unit in second floor which was followed by department of medicine, ENT, nephrology, chest and respiratory, dermatology, gastroenterology, dental, cardiology, pathology, microbiology, bio-chemistry, histopathology, blood bank, ophthalmology wards, central sterile services department, deluxe cabin, special cabin, oxygen supply centre where required work and update on present scenario was noted.
Minister instructed the concerned heads and engineers to expedite the on-going work before inauguration.
He also visited the construction sites of Cancer and TB treatment buildings, AYUSH building and link road of outer gate of the hospital. The Minister discussed with the Secretary, concerned HoDs, project director of the multi-speciality hospital S. Bhattacharya on technical aspects and further instructed the complete finishing part of requirements at the earliest.
