Gangtok, Dec 17
Sikkim Democratic Front party has expressed that leaving of greedy people from the party was in the interest of the people of Sikkim. The ruling party asserted that the act of such anti-people elements does not make any difference to SDF party.
A SDF press release issued by its general secretary [press & publicity], Amber Rai stated that termites in the society got wings during the election time and fly for a short time in the political sky and such incidents often took place during the time of elections. On the same, the party stated that the assembly of such flying termites does not make any revolutionary party but it was just a lodge for the people having flying termite nature and a platform for gossiping. It is added that the people of Sikkim knows that SKM was like the lodge for such people. The release mentioned that despite of all attempts of this party to instigate the people by doing to any extend the people of Sikkim would continue with their democratic movement started 25 years back.
The release stated that SDF was an immortal organisation of the people of Sikkim. It is added that leaving of greedy people from SDF party was in the interest of Sikkimese people and shifting of such elements does not make any difference to the party. The release mentioned that SDF was an organisation leading Sikkim on the path of development and progress by establishing the identity and pride of Sikkimese people. It is added that SDF was the still and firm organisation like mount Kanchenjunga so the movement of any termites, moths, flies and bees does not make any difference.
The people welfare schemes and programmes were started only after the formation of the government by SDF party in Sikkim, the release said. It is added that works in social justice, secularism and protection and conservation of culture have been going in the State and Sikkim has been moving on the path of the development.
