Sudunglakha Government Secondary School today conducted Annual Sports Day 2018 today. Area MLA Bikram Pradhan was present as the Chief Guest. Also present on the occasion were Zilla Panchayat Mrs. Madhu Sharma, Deputy Director HRDD Kumar Pradhan, Panchayat, School Headmistress Mrs. Bimla Pradhan, Teachers, Guardians and students.
The program started with hoisting of School flag by the chief guest followed by Band display by the students of the school.
Various colorful cultural program like dances were also performed on the occasion by the students.
Different sports activities were conducted for primary category level students. And the winner were awarded prizes.
Also women’s exhibition football match and Boxing Demonstrations were also played on the occasion.
On the occasion Choreographer Om Prakash, State Boxing Coach Pratima Gurung, Gati Infrastructures and Cipla Golden Cross and Zilla Panchayat Madhu Sharma were felicitated by the school by offering khadas and citation, for their contributions towards the welfare of the School.
Earlier, Headmistress Sudunglakha Government Secondary School Mrs. Bimla Chettri placed annual report of the school. She informed that five students have been selected under CMMSS since 2013 till date. And every year students are selected under JNV selection test. She informed about other achievement by the school in Sub-Divisional level.
Also Scout and Guide of the School Radhika Subba and Yougal Sharma will be awarded President Award and State award respectively in the year 2019.
The Chief Guest on the occasion MLA Bikram Pradhan said along with studies, such Co curricular activities is very important for development of the children. Bookish knowledge will not develop over personality of students but such sports activities have equal contributions towards development of a children.
Guardian, parents should have positive attitudes to celebrates such events and have equal responsibility to do develop children, to develop them into good attitudes. If a child astray, it will be a problem to family and the society. One does not have to be educated to teach good habits to a children but one should have determination to teach and nature towards positively in lives.
Education and positive attitude is needed for ones to be successful. Ravan was educated but he ended his life in negativity.
He informed about various programs and schemes for students by the state government which are not given to students in other parts of the country.
He urged parents’ guardians to appreciate the efforts put by the teachers who are working tirelessly for the upgradation of student’s performance.
The traditional mindset still exists of following what someone is doing. We need to think differently. We adapt to easy things. We can’t take risks.
