Chamling challenges opposition parties to come in the politics with scientific blueprint
Jobs provided under ‘One family One Job’ scheme will be regularize after 5 years

Sikkim Democratic Front President, the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling expressed that the politics should make the people empowered, independent and self-governed. He added that policy and principle of SDF party was to make the people independent. He asserted that the independence of the country was not enough but to ensure every individual freedom was important. On the same, he mentioned that the first work of SDF government was the freedom of Sikkimese women.
CM was addressing the coordination meeting of SDF party Central Executive Committee of South District at Garib Utthan Bhawan at Jorethang in South Sikkim on Monday.
Speaking further in the meeting, SDF Party President stated that SDF having the inclusive politics and has been taking the people of different communities, religions and sections together. He stated that happiness and freedom of every person was the real development. On the same, he added that SDF party has been working to fulfil the ultimate target of every individual to have the happiness and independence. He added that SDF government has been working in the favour and welfare of women of Sikkim. He added that policy and principle of SDF party had made Sikkimese women empowered and ahead in every area.
CM stated that just gathering of people do not make any party but the party needs principle, policy and sacrifice. He asserted that Sikkim, its youth, students and every person need a good government. He mentioned that a party had announced its programmes in a recent meeting at Jorethang on 14 December, which has been led by a convicted person who faced one year imprisonment. On the same, he added that the people and retired government employees who had exploited people have been joining that political party. He said it was not a political party but just the gathering of corrupts, exploiters and anti-people element. He challenged the opposition parties to come in the politics with scientific blue-print.
Mr Chamling mentioned that SDF party has been working in the interest of Sikkim and its people. He added that the ruling party has empowered the people to live with all democratic rights. He stressed that the change should be in the interest of Sikkim and its people. He added that the people should stay alert from anti-people elements that have been going around with slogans of change to create unrest in Sikkim. He added that the SDF was the only party working for the welfare, upliftment and in interest of the people.
CM appealed everyone not to give irresponsible statement in sensitive communal and religious issues. He added that irresponsible statement may damage Sikkim. He stressed that there was no any alternative of SDF party in Sikkim. We have to win the upcoming election to protect Sikkim. We have to make the government to save Sikkim as negative and communal forces from in and outside the State have become active to damage Sikkim, he said. On the same, he added that everyone need to stay alert and aware of such negative forces. He mentioned that SDF government has fulfilled the basic needs and facilities of the people and has made Sikkim poverty free.
CM informed that the government would sponsor the free coaching for students for upcoming board examinations, pending scholarship will be provided to students in upcoming Janta Mela and to celebrate organic day on 18 January at Manan Kendra.
He informed that Sikkimese doctors who have been working outside the State would be invited to work at Sokeythang hospital to make it the best hospital in the country. He added that after the inauguration of Sokeythang hospital on 15 January the foundation stone of Nursing College will be laid to provide free education to Sikkimese students. He informed that Sikkim would be the first in the world to provide free nursing education to its students.
CM mentioned that the jobs providing under ‘One family One Job’ scheme would be regularize after five years of the service. He added that this scheme of the government was in the interest of the people. He informed that work orders will be provided during Rojgar Mela to be held on 04 January at Paljor Stadium and names of those candidates will be cut on failing to attend Rojgar Mela.
The meeting was also addressed by the party vice-president Girish Chandra Rai and South District general secretary [incharge], CL Gurung. CLC representatives from all seven constituencies of South District placed their report and suggestions during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Speaker, KN Rai, Ministers, senior leaders and workers of SDF party.
