On the demand of adhoc teacher for regularisation of their works, he mentioned that the education was in the concurrent list and the government has to work as per the law and criteria. He was speaking as the chief guest on the valedictory function of the three-day long Annual Meet of Sikkim Against Addiction Towards Healthy India [SAATHI] at Saramsa Garden in East Sikkim on Sunday.
However, he mentioned that teachers of Sikkim should be happy and thankful to the ruling government for always working in their interest. On the same, he added that instead to be thankful some teachers have been doing politics.
CM stated that teachers and students of Sikkim having the best time at present but if the State goes into the wrong hands then the State would have Gunda Raj and government employees would have to pay ‘Gunda Tax’. He added that unrest in the State would create problem for everyone so the change should be constructive and not for the destruction. “I have never misused the power given by the people of Sikkim but has always been using it to serve them and to fulfil their every hope and aspiration,” he added. He said leaders should able to give the solution instead of just criticising and instigating the people.
